Benefits - change of circumstances - A to Z
The law says you must tell us if there is any change to the information we have used to decide on your entitlement to benefit. You must tell us about changes from the moment you have filled in your claim form, even if you are still waiting to hear from us. If you delay telling us we may pay you too much benefit and you will have to pay it back (see Overpayments) or we may not pay you extra for past weeks if you take too long to tell us about something which would give you more benefit.
