Supervised attendance orders - A to Z

Service Outline

What is a Supervised Attendance Order?

A Supervised Attendance Order is made in Court. In effect, it is a fine on time made as an alternative to custody when someone has failed to pay a fine.

Once made, the Order clears the outstanding fine and the person does voluntary work for between 10 and 80 hours.

Criminal justice social work has responsibility for supervising these orders and for reporting people to Court if they do not complete the voluntary work hours.
