Planning - tree preservation orders - A to Z

Before undertaking any tree work you are strongly advised to check whether the tree is protected by a tree preservation order, is within a conservation area or its retention is required by any conditions imposed by a planning permission. 

The Council's Tree Officer and Forestry Squad (part of Amenity Services) are responsible for the management of thousands of trees in our parks, open spaces and woodland.
