If you or someone in your family has alcohol problems, and you would like some help or advice, you could talk to your GP. 

You can also ask to see the Specialist Community Nurse (alcohol), who can assess your needs, assists with detox if appropriate and provides information about other supporting agencies for people with alcohol problems.  The nurse also supports family members.  Speak to your GP or social worker for a referral to this service.
