Specialist housing teams
The Community Housing and Property Management Service has a number of specialist departments and teams, which focus on particular aspects of housing in East Lothian.
The Homelessness service deals with people who are actually or potentially Homeless and can also offer advice to people with particular housing needs. It runs a special service for young single people between 16 and 21, which was formerly known as the CAT team.
Housing Strategic Development is responsible for strategic thinking about housing in East Lothian, including the local Housing Strategy. The section can also help with grant information and with the Mortgage to Rent scheme.
The Service Development and Support team is responsible for devising and helping to implement improvements in the management of the housing stock.
