Mortgage to Rent scheme

The national Mortgage to Rent scheme, administered by Communities Scotland, aims to provide help to owner-occupier households in danger of having their homes repossessed and becoming homeless.

If a household is eligible, the Scheme can arrange for a social landlord such as a Housing Association or a Local Authority to buy their property and for the household to continue to live there as tenants. Funding may be made available to the landlord, so that any necessary repairs can be made to the property and the household will be charged a social rent.

If you require information about the scheme, please contact Raymond Strang (tel. 01620 827862)
