| Maps of the proposed Core Paths |
| On the maps available to download from the menu on the right of this page the paths we have identified as potential Core Paths are shown in purple and red. They have all been numbered to identify individual paths. You can also download a copy of the Core Paths lists. |
purple solid lines represent paths that already exist that will become Core Paths;
red dotted lines represent aspirational routes that do not exist yet on the ground, that will become Core Paths. The aim is to provide these routes within two years of the Core Paths Plan being adopted.
| We have also shown on the maps: |
blue solid lines, which are other paths that form part of the wider path network in East Lothian. These are not proposed as Core Paths. They are shown on the maps so you can see how Core Paths will link into the wider path network.
mauve dashed lines, which are our longer-term aims to link some routes together. The exact line of these routes is yet to be negotiated.
green dotted lines are routes which are suggested links on quiet roads or roads with grass verges that you may be able to use to link between Core Paths.
