East Lothian Women's Aid

East Lothian Women's Aid provides information, support and refuge for women and any accompanying children who are experiencing domestic abuse from a partner or ex-partner.

The organisation has 6 refuge spaces in East Lothian. It has links with other Women’s Aid groups throughout Britain and Ireland, and can help women obtain refuge in other parts of the UK if needed.

Women's Aid can be contacted on 0131 665 9552 and their office is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-2pm. Phoneline Mon-Fri 10am – 3pm. There is a worker on call on a Saturday from 10am-12.30pmIn addition a Domestic Abuse Help line is available all week from 10am-Midnight on 0800 027 1234.

In addition a specialised, non-judgemental safe and confidential service for all black and minority ethnic women and their children, who are experiencing/fleeing domestic abuse is provided by Shakti Women's Aid. Their telephone number is 0131 475 2399.
