Housing Support

Housing Support is available to help people live securely and comfortably in their homes. A range of assistance is available from East Lothian Council to support people either in rented or privately owned accommodation. Most of this assistance is provided by the Department of Community Services.

What is on offer?

The Throughcare and Aftercare team helps young people who are leaving care placements and need some help to live on their own. Details of who is eligible for the service and how to apply can be found here.

Supporting people is a source of funding and process to provide high quality and effective housing support to adults who need it. It can help with:

* Safety and security
* Advice and Supervision
* Developing budgeting, domestic and life skills
