Description

The CAB is an independent charity that provides free, confidential, and impartial information and advice for people in East Lothian.  CAB advisers are unpaid volunteers who are trained to national standards.  Advice and information is available on a large range of subjects for example:

  • welfare benefits
  • housing
  • consumer debt
  • employment, law and government
  • immigration and nationality
  • community care services
  • education
  • health
  • travel/communications
  • child support
  • taxes.

CAB are licensed to provide basic immigration advice, debt adjustment and counselling.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday, 10.00am -12.30pm: Call-in, appointments or telephone· 

Monday to Thursday, 1.15pm - 4.00pm: appointment only.

Accessing the service

You can get advice by telephone, making an appointment or dropping in – see details above.Waiting times for an appointment may vary depending on the number of trained advisers available.

Call-in, telephone or e-mail to make your enquiry.  In exceptional circumstances, Musselburgh CAB advisers can visit you in your own home if you are not able to get to the office.
