In November 2004 the Council commissioned the Improvement & Development Agency (IDeA) to carry out a Peer Review of the way we operate. This is not a formal audit or inspection: rather it is feedback from a critical friend, based on what they heard during a week spent in the Council. In many ways, it is a case of "seeing ourselves as others see us"

The report highlights many positive findings, but also makes a number of recommendations which the Council will now consider.
