OCCASIONAL LICENCE - SECTION 33
An Occasional Licence enables the holder of a licence under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 to make an application to the Licensing Board to cater for an event taking place outwith their licensed premises. This excludes the holder of a Refreshment or an Entertainment Licence
An Occasional Licence authorises him/her to sell alcohol at a function for a period of not more than 14 days.
OCCASIONAL PERMISSION – SECTION 34
An Occasional Permission may be granted to a person representing a voluntary organisation or a branch of a voluntary organisation to sell alcoholic liquor for a period of not more than 14 days to cater for an event relating to the activities of the organisation, to take place outwith licensed premises.
Not more than 4 (four) Occasional Permissions may be granted in any one year to the organisation or branch of the voluntary organisation.
OCCASIONAL EXTENSION – SECTION 64(1)
An Occasional Extension enables the holder of a Liquor Licence (excluding Off-sale licences) to apply for an extension to their hours on their own premises in connection with an occasion/event not exceeding one month.
Applications for Occasional Licence/Permission and Extension are all dealt with under delegated powers.
