The library service now provides access to a range of on-line computer courses. The courses are completely free. You will need to register for an account at a local library, but the registration process takes less than 5 minutes. You will then be given a username and password so that you can access the courses using the Internet. If you have Internet access at home you can study the courses at home. If not then the computers in your local library can be used.
An introductory course - EqualSkills - is available covering the basics of using a computer, the desktop, Windows, creating a document, managing your files, e-mail and Internet.
