Housebound

If you have problems in getting to one of our libraries or carrying heavy books, phone us to join the housebound service. You can join temporarily (for example if you are sick or have just come out of hospital) or on a long-term basis.

You can sign up by contacting your local library or phone Morag Tocher (01620 828205). Nearly two hundred volunteer drivers help us deliver to the housebound in the towns of East Lothian. Rural areas are served by the mobile libraries, which bring books to your door if you cannot get out.
