East Lothian calendar photographic competition 2007
The competition is now underway for keen photographers to take part in the competition which selects local views for inclusion in the East Lothian Calendar 2007. The 2006 calendar has been tremendously popular and sales are the highest ever.
Sheila Millar of East Lothian's Library service said: “We've received many favourable comments about this year's calendar which has been successful thanks to the willingness of so many fine local photographers to take part. There were 192 entries last year and the selection of the final images was extremely difficult. I'm sure we'll face an equally difficult task this year.”
A £100 prize is offered for the winning entry, £50 for the runner up and the judging panel may also award commendations to other slides of particularly high quality. This year's competition is closing on Friday 7th April 2006.
All entries must be in colour transparency format and taken within the last three years. Entries must be accompanied by the entry form, which gives the rules and conditions. These are available now in Libraries throughout East Lothian, local camera clubs or please contact Jackie Stevenson, East Lothian Council Library HQ, Dunbar Road, Haddington, EH41 3PJ Tel: 01620 828200. jstevenson@eastlothian.gov.uk
