Description
SCRA administers the Children’s Hearing system - the system of care and justice for children in East Lothian. SCRA deals with referrals made in respect of children who may be at risk, for example, through:
- offending
- being the victim of an offence
- lack of parental care or control
- substance abuse
- failure to attend school.
The service is for all young people under the age of 16; and between 16 and 18 if already subject to an order made by the Children’s Hearing.
How to get the service
Anyone can make a referral in respect of a child or young person by telephoning or writing to SCRA. There is no waiting time.
