About Haddington Marriage Room
Haddington is the county town of East Lothian and the main headquarters of East Lothian Council is located here. It has many historic buildings to visit such as the Town House (designed by Robert Adam’s father, William Adam), St Mary’s Parish Church (damaged during the Rough Wooing of 1548) and John Knox, founder of Calvinism, was born in Haddington, in 1513.
The marriage room in Haddington is located within John Muir House, the Council headquarters, a building which dates from 1833. Access to the venue is from Court Street and there is a disabled lift provided for wheelchair users.
The room itself can comfortably seat 40, including the bridal party and is tastefully decorated. Music and floral decorations are provided. A loop system for people with hearing difficulties is also within the room. French windows take you out into a landscaped internal courtyard and gardens.
Photographs can be taken both inside and outside the room.
Parking is available on Court Street for up to an hour and a half.
