About Musselburgh Marriage Facilities
Musselburgh, famously known as the “Honest Toun”, is the largest town
within East Lothian and is a town of historic interest. It is famous for its
fishing, wire and cotton industries and the Romans occupied the area
between 142 and 163 AD.
The Marriage Rooms are located in the Brunton Hall, a building which was
officially opened by HRH Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, on 23 June
1971.
The Marriage Rooms are located on the second floor. Seating is available
for up to 100 guests, with a special designated seating area for the main
wedding party. The Marriage Rooms can be divided into two rooms to
accommodate smaller wedding parties.
Music and floral decorations are provided, however, requests to supply your
own music and flowers will be considered. A loop system for people with
hearing difficulties is also available.
Access, including disabled access to the building is by both front and rear
entrances. The Marriage Rooms are accessible by stairs or by lift.
There is ample car parking located to the rear of the building which can
accommodate cars and buses.
There are a few scenic places available nearby for photographs - Fisherrow
Harbour, the River Esk, Inveresk Gardens and Lewisvale Park.
