New services, new addresses

Community Care Access Service

From Monday 27 March 2006, East Lothian Council is launching the ‘one-door’ Community Care Access Service. Our new Access Team, based at 6-8 Lodge Street. Haddington, operates a 'one-door' service for all new community care enquiries. Although you can continue to use any numbers you use now, from Monday 27 March our new number for all new community care enquiries is Lo-Call: 0845 603 1576.  You can also e-mail us on communitycare@eastlothian.gov.uk

Our new Complex Care Team, which manages the assessment and care management of service-users who have complex needs, has established a new base at Randall House, Satellite Working Estate, Macmerry.  Their new number for all complex care enquiries is 01875 824 090.  You can also e-mail us on communitycare@eastlothian.gov.uk

Children's Services

All Children's Services Teams, except for Development Services, are now based at Randall House.   To contact staff at Randall House, please ring 01875 824 090 and ask to be connected to the person you would like to speak to.

Coming to you

This new way of working recognises that it is often difficult for you to come to a social work centre at a set time.  It may be difficult for you to get to a social work centre because of where you live, transport difficulties or mobility problems.  While you can still do this if you prefer, we are happy to visit you at home or at a mutually convenient place, wherever necessary.
