Council House Repairs

If you require repairs to a Council House in East Lothian you must get in touch with us on 01875 824311. Repairs can still be reported to your local housing office and if you call in, you can report the repair in person, via a free telephone link to the Contact Centre. We would recommend that for speed and efficiency all tenants contact the Contact Centre directly, as soon as they can.

Calls will be taken concerning everything to do with repairs, which includes
* Requesting a repair, whether or not it is an emergency
* Asking about the progress of a repair
* Seeking advice about repairs to your Council House

The Contact Centre will be able to tell you
* Whether we can order your repair on the strength of what you have told us, or if we need to come and inspect your problem first
* When the job or inspection should be completed

You will be given a reference number in case you need to ring back If you need to be at home to show us what the problem is we will offer you an appointment. If we have to change the time of the appointment, we will let you know and make another appointment at a time, which is convenient for you. Urgent repairs will be prioritised. Appointments for non-urgent repairs will be made as soon as possible but there may be delays if, for example, we have to order materials. We will give you a timescale for the repair, which we believe is achievable.

The Contact Centre number is 01875 824311
