The Trust provides grants to individuals, groups, clubs, etc, for studies or projects of an educational nature.

  1. Grants are available to individuals and groups who are residents of the “old” county of East Lothian. This means that of the area currently covered by East Lothian Council, residents of Musselburgh, Wallyford and Whitecraig are excluded.
  2. Grants are available to individuals who are undertaking studies, courses or projects of an educational nature, including scholarships abroad and educational travel.
  3. Grants are designed to provide supplementary support to individuals. They are not sufficient nor intended to be an individual's primary source of income. You may receive a grant to cover the following types of expenditure

    Course fees
    Accommodation
    Travel expenses
    Books and materials
    Living expenses
    Specialised equipment

  4. Grants are available to clubs and organisations for a variety of educational purposes. This may include equipment, travel costs, or specific trips and projects.
