Children's Area

The children's area has now been moved into the main library under the windows at the back.  It's a nice bright sunny area to sit and look through books, play with toys and have fun.

We have board books, picture books, stories on tape and cd, dvds and much more for children to borrow.

Make sure you ask about Book Crawl which allows children to collect stickers and certificates for borrowing books.

For children who are just beginning to read on their own, our Easy Reads come in 3 steps and we'll put your child's name on the bookworm moving them up as they go through the stages to celebrate their achievement.

We hold a regular Bounce and Tickle session on the last wednesday of each month for parents and under 5s to have fun with song and rhyme.

You will also find a section of fiction, non-fiction and parenting books in the children's area just in case you don't get a chance to look for books yourself.
