Digitisation Projects

East Lothian Museums Service has been concerned to make its collections available more widely through the use of digital media. In particular we have been very active participants in Scran, where our two projects (A Change of Air and PastEL <.. />) have made available over the Internet more than 4,200 digital images, video clips and sound files from our own collections and those of partners across Scotland.

Our latest projects produced some 13,200 digital "resources". Self-Help and Scotland's East Coast Fisheries are part of the Resources for Learning in Scotland project, which is funded by NOF-Digitise. Some of the learning resources from the projects are available on the HistoryShelf web site.
