East Lothian has been, and still is, home to a vast number of local authors and poets. From Mary Brunton to Debi Gliori, from Samuel Mucklebackit to Quintin Jardine, from Nigel Tranter to Maggie O’Farrell. The writings are eclectic, ranging from crime to romance to children’s books to science fiction.

We also have a number of writers on non-fiction topics, from the chef Clarissa Dickson-Wright to the comedian Ronnie Corbett.
