Bathing Water Results

14 beaches are currently sampled for bathing water quality on a weekly basis by SEPA during the summer months (May to September). The sampling results are then passed on to East Lothian Council.

The Council make the information available to the public by displaying it on notice boards at the relevant beaches and at Tourist Information Offices. These notices indicate the bathing water quality (poor, good or excellent) at that particular beach, as well as any awards that the beach may have received.
