Services for people with dementia and their families

Our services for people with dementia aim to help people achieve as high a quality of life as possible. We make sure that views and wishes of service-users and their families are listened to, and that everyone is dealt with individually.

Once you have been assessed as needing a community care service, you can choose to buy your own services through the Direct Payments scheme or we can purchase them for you.

You can find out more about how we plan and deliver services for people with dementia in the East Lothian Community Care Plan – 2001 to 2004 (pdf)
