Transport

Children attending their district school who live more than 2 miles from school, children with special educational needs and children with medical problems affecting their travel to school may be entitled to free home-to-school transport.

Transport is managed by Transport Services although policy decisions continue to be made by the Education and Community Services Committee.

It is the intention of the Department to review the Transport policy and produce guidelines and better information to parents/carers and educational establishments.
