Childcare Choices is a public information service set up as part of the Government's National Childcare Strategy to provide a service to parents, members of the public, employers and childcare providers looking for information on childcare and early education provision in East Lothian.

Choosing suitable childcare and pre-school provision is a big step for parents and their carers.  The East Lothian information service is based within the Early Years and Childcare Team of Education and Children's Services at John Muir House in Haddington.  The service collates up to date information on provisions such as current vacancies, opening hours, charges, facilities etc.  It helps parents find affordable, accessible, quality childcare in their area and provides information on pre-school nursery facilities.  It also helps registered childcare providers by linking them with the parents and keeping them up to date with training options available through the East Lothian Childcare Partnership.
