Services for people with HIV and blood-borne diseases
Our services for people with HIV and blood-borne diseases try to help people to enjoy a high quality of life. We make sure that service-users views and wishes are listened to, and that everyone is dealt with individually.
Services for people with HIV and blood-borne diseases include:
testing and treatment
counselling
specialist respite care
health education information
personal and domestic support
If you require a community care service, you will have to be assessed. Once you have been assessed as needing a community care service, you can choose to buy your own services through the Direct Payments (pdf)scheme or we can purchase them for you.
You can find out more about how we plan and deliver services for people with HIV and blood-borne diseases in the East Lothian Community Care Plan – 2001 to 2004 (pdf)
