Residents Parking Schemes

East Lothian Council administers residents parking schemes in Musselburgh, Haddington and North Berwick.

Residents parking permits are currently issued free of charge and allow local people to park their car, van or motorcycle near their home without penalty. Residents (or their visitors) must always display a valid parking permit to avoid receiving a penalty charge notice.

Musselbugh

Limited waiting has been introduced to control on street parking near to Queen Margaret University campus.

The roads (all in Musselburgh) affected by the scheme are listed below. You can view the boundary on this map.

Haddington

Qualifying residents displaying a valid permit may park in any off-street parking facility in the town centre without being subject to the 90 minute time limit. The controlled hours are 08.30am to 17.30pm Monday to Saturday. You can view the boundary on this map

North Berwick

Qualifying residents displaying a valid permit may park on the north side of Forth Street only without being subject to the 90 minute time limit. The controlled hours are 08.30am to 17.30pm Monday to Sunday. You can view the boundary on this map
