Children's Services Section 10 Funding

East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership

Section 10 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 allows East Lothian Council to make contributions, by way of grants or loans, to any voluntary organisation whose sole purpose is the promotion of social welfare.

We are accepting applications from agencies who:

  • Protect and support children and families in or on the cusp of care.
  • Meet statutory and legal obligations (core business of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995)
  • Improve the long term life chances of children and young people who have a disability and/or who are looked after by East Lothian Council.

Please note that making an application does not guarantee that funding will be granted as funds are limited and we are required to assess where best funds should be allocated.
