Charter and Improvement Plans
Planning Enforcement Charter
East Lothian Council has developed a Planning Enforcement charter which explains how the enforcement process works, the role of the Council and the service standards it sets itself. It also explains what happens at each stage of what can be a lengthy process.
Planning Service Improvement Plan
The Scottish Government’s programme of delivering planning reform includes the commitment that planning authorities will produce a Service Improvement Plan (SIP). Planning authorities are required to identify areas for service improvement and how best they be tackled. This process will be undertaken annually.
The Planning Service Improvement Plan 2011 - 2012 is East Lothian Council’s second such Plan.
