Get Connected Champions

A 'Get Connected Champion' is an organisation that has a commitment to inclusion and young people in the local area.

Achieving ‘Champion’ status enables organisations to send a positive message to young people with additional support needs that they are included, valued, supported, and will be treated fairly when they engage with the organisation.

The Get Connected website offers children a starting point to find their own interests and opportunities easily and with confidence.

Meet your 'Champions'

Get Connected Champions

'I'm an activity provider and I want to become a Champion, what do I have to do?'

We have made it easy for you to become a 'Champion' with our short inclusion checklist. If you tick all our boxes, then you are a 'Champion' and we’d love to have you featured on the website.

If you do not tick all the boxes then this checklist will let you identify your areas of good practice and also areas that need further development. Use it as part of an action plan on how inclusion and equal opportunities are taken forward by your organisation.

Email getconnected@eastlothian.gov.uk and let us know you want to get involved, then you can 'Get Connected' and join the exciting #GetConnectedELC campaign.
