National Libraries Week
National Libraries Week in East Lothian Libraries.
All of our Libraries will be participating in the following, please come along and join in with the events:
Libraries Challenge ! - Win a Kindle.
The challenge begins on Monday 30th of January 2012. Entry forms containing the questions can be collected from all our libraries. The challenge involves answering questions using some of our online services as well visiting at least 3 of our libraries over the week. Entrants must be library members to access the online resources.
Design a Mobile Library
All libraries will have a stock of templates for children to collect and design their own mobile library, there will be a prize in each library for ages 5-8 and 9-12.
I Love Libraries because ...
On Facebook, Twitter and in person, we'd like to know why you LOVE libraries. Adults and Teens can tweet us, post on our Facebook wall or hand in a note telling us why they love libraries. Our favourite in each branch will win a prize.
Specific events at libraries are below:
Headquarters - Open day. - Library Museum and Headquarters, Dunbar Road, Haddington, EH41 3PJ.
Friday 3rd of February - 12 - 5pm
Timed guided tours at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. Visitors are asked to arrive for one of these slots. They will be given information about what is done for the branches, schools etc. and will be followed with a cuppa. This is a great chance to see what goes on behind the scenes to keep your library service going.

Haddington Library
Find Lennox : -
Pictures of Lennox will be hidden around Haddington in the week beginning 30th of January. Return one to the library and get a prize !
There is also a Storytime on Friday 3rd of February - 10.30am
Londniddry Library
Empty Longniddry Library : -
Saturday 4th February – a challenge to as many library members as possible to visit Longniddry and borrow their maximum number of books to see how bare our shelves can get.

Love themed Storytime – Friday 3rd February at 3pm
Musselburgh Library

Mugshot Reviews: we’ll be asking staff and readers to have their photo taken with a book they’ve enjoyed and displaying the results.
North Berwick Library
