It seems to come around quicker every year...

Christmas, and all of the extra costs that come with it, is now fast approaching.

If you are already struggling to keep on top of your bills or are dealing with debt, the thought of preparing for Christmas can feel overwhelming.

At East Lothian Council, our message is simple - don't ignore the problem, it will only make it worse.

If you don't ask for help now, then you could find yourself in a worse position in the New Year.

There are lots of people who can help and provide advice, so don't feel you have to deal with this alone.

If you have fallen behind with your Council Tax or Council Rent payments, then East Lothian Council staff can help to get you back on track.  We will also make sure that you are receiving all forms of benefit and financial help you may be entitled to.

If you need help to budget, or have multiple debts, then Citizen's Advice Bureau can help.

Don't delay.  Act now and we'll make sure you get the help you need.
