Welcome to Dunbar Town House Museum
Dunbar Town House circa 1900
Dunbar Town House Museum

The historic Dunbar Town House was built around the end of the 16th century. After 400 years of use it is now home to an archaeology and local history centre, as well as temporary exhibitions about Dunbar and district. Find out about the town and its people, past and present, from ten thousand years ago to the present day. p>

A display of photographs of old Dunbar and its surrounding area, brought together by Dunbar and District History Society, gives a fascinating insight into the Royal Burgh's past.

Copies of local history documents are available for study, and members of the society are usually on hand to help you in your search.
