Changes to planning legislation

Changes to whether or not planning permission will be required for householder development take effect on 6th February 2012
Important changes to whether or not planning permission will be required for householder development (i.e. alteration and extension to a house, development within the garden of a house, alteration and extension to a building containing a flat and development within the garden ground of a flatted building) will come into effect on 6th February 2012.

The changes are to be made by The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2011. The order can be found at: www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2011/357/contents/made
