Pirates at the library

Shiver me timbers! It's Pirates Week at local museums.

Prepare to set sail and make your own pirate swords, eye-patches and treasure maps! During the February holiday week, families can become pirates for the afternoon in Haddington and Dunbar. Pirates Week will take place at the John Gray Centre (Haddington) from 10-17 February, and John Muir's Birthplace (Dunbar) from 13-17 February. There will also be treasure hidden around each building, with pirate stickers for those who find the Pieces of 8. To finish off each afternoon, pirate tales will be told at 3pm.

Pirates Week is a drop-in event, with no need to book beforehand. Activities take place from 1.30pm-3.30pm each day. Visitors are asked to donate £2 per family to take part. Children must be accompanied by an adult to take part.
