Would you like to make a difference to a child's life?

Share the Care
We are asking people in East Lothian to think about giving a little time and making a big difference to disabled children and their families.
Our Children’s Disability Team would like to encourage more people to offer short breaks to a disabled child and give their parents a regular break from caring.
Share-the Care's Leann Robinson says:
'Children benefit so much from spending time with a carer, meeting new people and trying new things in a safe and caring environment. There are no specific qualifications required but personal qualities such as patience, understanding, enthusiasm and commitment are all essential. Ideally, people would need to have some experience of caring for children with disabilities.
The Children’s Disability Team are holding a Share the Care information evening on Wednesday 15th March from 6pm to 8pm in the Musselburgh East Community Centre (MECA), Musselburgh (Haddington Rd, Musselburgh EH21 8JJ)
You will be able to meet some of our current Share-The-Carers and social workers for disabled children who benefit from Share the Care.
If you want to find out more about this event or Share the Care, give Leann Robinson a ring on 01875 824 309 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
