Council granted Interim ASBO after receiving neighbour complaints
An interim Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) has been granted against Siobhan Sands (31) of High Street, Prestonpans following an application to the court by East Lothian Council.
Both Police Scotland and East Lothian Council’s Safer Communities team responded to complaints arising from Ms Sands’ actions and the court was presented with details of her alleged antisocial behaviour which included excessive noise and disturbance late at night and early hours of the morning
The terms of the interim ASBO prohibits Ms Sands from behaving in a way that causes or is likely to cause alarm or distress to others and includes playing music at excessively high volume and shouting and swearing in and around the property at High Street, Prestonpans.
A council spokesperson said:
"The interim ASBO served on Ms Sands reflects the seriousness of her continued actions which have disturbed and distressed others within the community. East Lothian Council has strong antisocial behaviour policies in place to deal with actions that have negative effects on others and will continue to pursue legal options when considered appropriate."
