Dunbar resident served with Interim ASBO

An Interim Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) has been granted against Caitlyn Reid (20) of Goldenstones Avenue, Dunbar following an application to the court by East Lothian Council.

The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour of Ms Reid which included excessive noise and loud music at her property and aggressive and abusive behaviour and language, including social media postings, directed towards neighbours.

The terms of the ASBO prohibits Ms Reid from behaving in a way that causes or is likely to cause alarm or distress to others and includes using threatening, intimidating and abusive language to neighbours, including written communication and by posting on social media.

A council spokesperson said:

"The Interim ASBO served on Ms Reid highlights a range of antisocial behaviour she has carried out which has affected her neighbours including insulting and abusive comments on social media. East Lothian Council has strong antisocial behaviour policies in place to deal with actions that have negative effects on others and will continue to pursue legal options when considered appropriate."
