Residents of East Lothian are invited to share their views on adapting to a changing climate later this month, as part of Climate Week 2017.

Taking place from Monday 18 to Friday 22 September, Climate Week is a Scottish Government campaign to raise awareness of and inspire action on climate change. It aims to highlight the importance of reducing emissions and adapting to a changing climate.

East Lothian Council is hosting two drop in events, under the banner of Climate Week, to consult with local people on how we can adapt to a changing climate. The consultation events will kick-start a series of further events, looking at the key risks and opportunities of climate adaptation. Feedback from the events will inform the development of an East Lothian Climate Adaptation Strategy for the period 2018-28.

Residents are invited to drop in on

- Thursday 21 September from 10am to 4pm at the Garleton Room, Penston House, Macmerry, or

- Monday 25 September from 10am to 4pm at The Saltire Rooms in John Muir House, Haddington.

Refreshments will be available.
