Complaint of antisocial behaviour lead to interim ASBO

An interim Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) has been granted against Adrienne McCulloch (25) of The Wynd, Ormiston following an application to Edinburgh Sheriff Court by East Lothian Council.

The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour of Ms McCulloch which included shouting and swearing in a manner that caused discomfort and distress to others at properties in Ormiston and Newbigging, Musselburgh.

The terms of the ASBO prohibits Ms McCulloch from behaving in a way that causes or is likely to cause alarm or distress to others and includes shouting, swearing and disturbing neighbours in The Wynd, Ormiston and Newbigging, Musselburgh.

A council spokesperson said:

"The interim ASBO served on Ms McCulloch has resulted from repeated complaints from residents in both Ormiston and Musselburgh who have experienced disturbance and verbal aggression from Ms McCulloch. The council has an antisocial behaviour policy in place to support local communities and our Safer Communities team worked closely with Police Scotland colleagues to respond to complaints and gather the evidence to present to court."
