Well done to Max!

Pupils at Knox Academy’s Meadowpark campus in Haddington have taken part in a Christmas card competition for David Wilson Homes (DWH). Meadowpark pupils were tasked with designing David Wilson Homes’ official Christmas card, which will be sent to the housebuilder’s customers and partners.

Max Smith, 12yrs, from Class 1 designed the winning picture of a jolly Santa Claus and he received vouchers for his efforts. Two brand new bikes were presented by DWH sales advisor Lynsey Karwowski to the school to thank all pupils for their participation.

Anne Ross, sales director for Barratt Homes East Scotland, said:

“The standard of entries for our Christmas card competition was really high and we want to thank all the pupils who entered - we hope they enjoy using their new bikes. Max’s design was the cream of the crop, and we hope he gets something special with his voucher.”

Charli Prime, DHT at Meadowpark said,

“We are thrilled to have two new bikes for the pupils and that Max will have the opportunity to get something for himself. We are also looking forward to further collaboration with DWH when we make bird boxes in the Spring. Being fit and healthy, caring for our environment and working in partnership with local businesses enhance key values of Meadowpark Communication Provision: our shared vision is to engage our learners with a wide range of high quality learning experiences so they can achieve and attain their very best”

DWH’s Dovecot Mill development is set on the outskirts of the town of Haddington, close to the banks of the picturesque River Tyne and within easy commuting distance of Edinburgh. The development is built around the existing Dovecot Farm and offers the benefits of country life, with the city close at hand.
