Council pursues legal action following series of complaints

An interim Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) has been granted against Daniel Wilson (18) of Citypark Way, Edinburgh following an application to Edinburgh Sheriff Court by East Lothian Council.

The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour of Mr Wilson which included shouting and swearing and vandalism within a property at North High Street, Musselburgh.

The terms of the ASBO prohibits Mr Wilson from entering North High Street, Musselburgh except when passing through on public transport.

A council spokesperson said:

"A number of complaints were made about Mr Wilson’s behaviour which centred on a property in North High Street, Musselburgh. As he is not resident within that area the terms of the Interim ASBO prevent him from returning to the area where he caused considerable distress to other residents."
