Fisherrow Harbour

The Fisherrow Seafront Steering Group is setting up a new Association (SCIO)

The group is recruiting for dynamic individuals to drive investment into key infrastructure projects in the harbour and seafront at Fisherrow, Musselburgh.

  • Are you passionate about the regeneration of coastal communities?
  • Do you have the skills and experience to support the development of an investment Master plan to be delivered in the next 20 years?
  • Does working with a range of local community groups float your boat?

A Chair is sought for the new Association, along with a Vice Chair, a Treasurer, a Secretary and three operational posts.

  • Seafront Manager with responsibility for the development of a coherent and deliverable set of strategic projects along the Seafront from the Brunstane Burn to the mouth of the Esk.
  • Harbour Manager with responsibility for the ongoing restoration and development of the harbour, including an operational role.
  • Business Development Manager with responsibility for bringing investment and funding into the area, to finance key projects.

These roles are unpaid and will require someone who has the time to dedicate to this extremely worthwhile endeavour.  They will make up the Board of Trustees of the new organisation. Volunteers are sought who can make a real difference - people with energy and drive and who are able to listen to those living in and around the harbour and seafront.

If you are interested, please send a note of interest, setting out clearly which position you are interested in and why you think you fit the bill. You will then be invited to a briefing event on Monday 12 February, following which, by 19 February, a CV is required, setting out why you think you have the skills, experience and passion for the role.

Further information on job roles is available on request from www.fhsa.org.uk
