We host a range of different events and activities throughout the year at our museums and within the local community.

Prestongrange Museum
Fairy Tales Day!
Saturday 31st July 12.30 - 3.30pm, free event
Come along in fancy dress and join in the fancy dress parade, help blow down the 3 pigs' houses with the Rangers Service, take part in storytelling with Libraries and explore the Beam Engine, magically transformed into the world of fairytales.
Family Activity Day
Saturday 21st August
12 noon - 3pm
FREE
It's our third year running for this ever-popular event. Try out different activities from archery to water sports at this day of fun for all the family! There will also be an appearance by the mobile library van, the Ranger Service, Archaeologists, and arts and crafts. No need to book, just turn up and enjoy the fun!

End of Season Halloween Party!
Prestongrange Museum

1.30-3.30pm
Join us for a final fling before we close for the winter season in our spooky Hallowe'en Party. Fancy dress is a must! Suitable for families. No need to book.

If you would like to visit any of our museums with a large group, please get in touch with the Museums Education Officer beforehand on 01620 828 225 to ensure we can cater for your needs. We may be able to offer a guided tour, worksheets, an activity, or workshop suited to you.
