Welcome to Get into Summer! There are lots of exciting activities happening across East Lothian this year for children, young people and families. Using Scottish Government funding our teams and partners have a range of projects from arts to sports, helping families to enjoy summer in our area.
You can find out more about what's on offer in these pages. Keep checking back for further details as we're working with our partners to bring you even more fun activities.
Please do not send your child or young person to any activities if they are showing signs of COVID-19. For more information visit NHS Inform.
About Get into Summer
Get into Summer is a Scottish Government-funded initiative to help children, young people and families have fun throughout the holiday period.
The activities have all been planned to help children and young people who have been particularly affected by the pandemic to make the most of their summer and connect with others.
There are lots of activities on offer from council services, local clubs and communiy groups.
Activities may be funded for priority families to ensure that costs aren't a barrier to taking part.
Worried about costs?
Managing your money across the summer holiday period can be stressful.
Projects that receive funding to be part of the Get into Summer programme have also been asked to consider some of the hidden costs - such as food or transport - to make sure that there are no barriers to taking part.
If you're worried about your finances more generally including benefits, council tax or council rent, or food costs this summer, we have lots of support available.
