Park and Ride

The facility has over 300 free car parking spaces, plus 13 disabled spaces and ten cycle parking slots.

The facility is fully accessible, with a bus-only lane and two new pedestrian crossings.

To ensure your safety, the parking area is well lit and covered by 24 hour CCTV.

How do I get to Edinburgh from Wallyford Park and Ride?

Buses

The following buses run regularly from the facility to Edinburgh:

Lothian Buses 44/44A/N44 serve Wallyford Park & Ride and depart for Musselburgh & Edinburgh City Centre every 10 minutes at peak times and during the day on Monday to Saturdays, with a half hourly service on a Sunday in place. Trains

The facility is located on the North Berwick railway line, which serves the following:

  • Edinburgh Waverley
  • Musselburgh
  • Wallyford
  • Prestonpans
  • Longniddry
  • Drem
  • North Berwick

Most trains run between North Berwick and Edinburgh Waverley, although peak-time services continue on to Edinburgh Haymarket.

The service generally runs:

  • hourly between 7am and 7pm
  • half hourly during peak times and on Saturdays
  • as a reduced service on weekday evenings and Sundays
