Get involved in our Allocations Consultation

As landlords, we must comply with the Scottish Government's Housing (Scotland) Act 2014, which has set new rules when allocating our houses and managing our housing list.

We have been working with East Lothian Tenants & Residents Panel and others to review how we allocate houses. We are considering the impact of overcrowding, home ownership and potential homelessness amongst other factors.

We are now writing to tenants and applicants to invite them to comment by completing and returning a Housing Allocations Consultation Survey.

You can also complete the survey online, email your views to housingallocations@eastlothian.gov.uk, or call our Freephone number 0800 413721, where you can leave a voice message and someone will get back to you. You can also contribute on our dedicated Housing Allocations consultation page.

The consultation period runs from the 1st November to the end of December 2018

Making changes to your tenancy - the Household form

The Housing (Scotland) Act 2014 introduces extra requirements to let us know about changes to your tenancy.

We will need to know who is living with you and how long they have been a member of your household before you can apply to make a change to your tenancy.

You need to download and complete a Household form, see: Making Changes to your tenancy - the Household form.
